Privacy Policy

In plain language

Rower Rhythm has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and the app makes no network requests of its own. The developer never receives your rows. They stay on your Apple Watch and your iPhone, in Apple Health when you choose to save them there, and in any file you export and share yourself.

Short version

We do not collect any data. Rower Rhythm works on your Apple Watch and your iPhone. It has:

  • no account and no sign-in,
  • no ads,
  • no analytics and no tracking,
  • no third-party SDKs,
  • no network requests of its own.

This matches the “Data Not Collected” label on our App Store page.

Where your data lives

Your rows, with the ratio and the rate over each row, are kept in three places only, all of them yours:

  • On your Apple Watch and your paired iPhone. The two sync directly with each other through Apple’s WatchConnectivity. Nothing is sent to a server of ours, because we have none.
  • In Apple Health, only when you save a row there (see below).
  • In any CSV file you export (RowerRhythm Pro). You choose where that file goes. Once you share it, it is in your hands, not ours.

Apple Health

Rower Rhythm writes one rowing workout per row to Apple Health when you save the row there. It reads only two things:

  • whether another app saved a rowing workout at the same time, so that the row is not saved twice;
  • that row’s own heart rate, active energy, distance and speed while rowing.

Health data is never used for advertising and never leaves your devices by our doing. You can review or change the access you have given in the Health app.

Location

On water rows, the Watch asks for your location When In Use, only to measure the distance of the row. The location is never stored separately from the row and never shared. If you deny it, rowing keeps working, without distance.

Motion sensors

The Watch uses its motion sensors to detect your strokes. The raw motion is not stored.

Purchases

RowerRhythm Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. Apple handles it through StoreKit. We see no payment details, and we do not know who you are. Apple’s own privacy policy governs the purchase.

What we do not do

  • We do not create accounts or ask you to sign in.
  • We do not show ads.
  • We do not run analytics or tracking, and we do not build profiles.
  • We do not include third-party SDKs.
  • We do not sell or share your data. We do not have it.

Deleting your data

In the app, use Delete row for a single row or Delete all data for everything the app holds. Workouts that you saved to Apple Health are managed in the Health app. A CSV file you exported is a file you hold; delete it where you saved it.

Your rights under GDPR (and similar laws)

Because the developer holds no data about you, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, restrict or erase; you manage everything in the app, in Apple Health and in your own files. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority, for example ANSPDCP in Romania or your national equivalent.

The controller for the purposes of the GDPR is Ioan-Cristian Vezure, Bucharest, Romania. For any request, email rowerrhythm@xymex.app.

Children

Rower Rhythm is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, children included.

Changes to this policy

If the way data flows in or out of the app ever changes, we will update this page and change the “Last updated” date at the top.
